🎵 Guess who’s back, back again….🎵
It feels good to be writing again. The last time I wrote on my blog was over a month ago and since that time, life has thrown me some curveballs that made me hit pause on my weekly Life as I go updates. Logging into my blog after a few weeks to write today felt very surreal and I realized how much I had missed this … writing and connecting.
Over the last few weeks, I have been reminded that life happens in twos – good/bad; faith/doubt; hope /despair ; happy/ sad … and whilst we would all rather choose the positives, the negatives sometimes hit us with equal measure and yes, it sucks.
I have also been reminded that the people in your life are your best assets. I had always known that you cannot place a price on people and learnt to approach all relationships with gratitude; but to know that people can literally save you – that was a new level of awareness. I am in awe of how people can make your sad days beautiful and whilst they may not be able to take away your pain, they definitely can soothe it. More than ever, I have a huge gratitude for the people in my life …. who build a bridge of support and hold my hand as I put one foot in front of the other.
I am also extra thankful for people who have shared their stories with me. I have always been a firm believer in the power of sharing our stories and that they have the ability to cause monumental transformation for ourselves and others. I believe our stories connect us and remind us that we are not alone.
So today I am writing to remind you that you are here and that is all that matters.…and that when life throws you some curveballs, take a deep breath, chin up and put one foot in front of the other.
On a final note, even though the lyrics to the classic song “With a little help from my friends” I quoted in the title says “I get by with a little help from my friends” , I think there should be a remix that changes the little to a lot 🙂
Wishing you a love-filled week.
